Housed within this Vision Statement are 7 key points. First, is the origin or our commission. We have not just decided to undertake ministry, but God has called us to be a church. Secondly, He has biblically graced, outlined, and ordained our purpose. Third, is the understanding that we are living in the information age. The mindset of the information age person is service based. In order to win souls we must first understand we are fishers of men, and fishermen know fish. Fourth, is the recognition of the duality of man. We are both natural and spiritual. We cannot successfully minister to man without understanding this. Fifth, you see the knowledge of what true and effective ministry provides. The result of effective ministry is empowerment. Sixth is the acknowledgement that charity does indeed begin at home then spreads abroad. Lastly, this vision supports our ultimate goal. Our ultimate goal is to build not a church, but the Kingdom.
We will serve God, by serving our community.
“…Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:40 (KJV)
We will empower others to do ministry.
"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you."
Matthew 28:20 (KJV)
We will display Christ-like love to all.
"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if you have love one to another." John 13:35 (KJV)
"God's Church, God's People"
True Covenant Church
The God given, and biblically based, vision of True Covenant Church of God in Christ is to be a service-oriented ministry that provides both natural and spiritual empowerment to its Covenant Partners and the body of Christ at large with Christian compassion.
